How to make the best Rum Chatta

This video demonstrates how to make the best Rum Chatta using Home Town Brew Distillery's "Spiced Rum"

What you will need:

  • 1 Cup of 2% or Whole Milk
  • 3/4 Cup White Rice
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick
  • 2 Tablespoons White Sugar
  • 1/4 Fresh Vanilla Bean or 1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • Pinch of Nutmeg (optional)
  • Pinch of Allspice (optional)

Prepare the Night Before:

Combine in a food processor or blender and blend for 15 seconds:

  • 1 Cup 2% or Whole Milk
  • 1 Cup White "uncooked" Rice
  • 2 Tablespoons of White Sugar
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick or 1 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Fresh Vanilla Bean or 1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 pinch of Nutmeg
  • 1 pinch of Allspice

Let sit overnight in the fridge between 6 and 24 hours!


Strain the Milk Mixture through a sieve, or fine strainer and collect into a shaker

Add 1/2 ounce Fresh 2% or Whole Milk

Add 1.5 ounces of HomeTown Brew Distillery Spiced Rum and pour into a rocks glass over ice.


Sprinkle of ground cinnamon and or a cinnamon stick, enjoy!
